A classy middle-aged couple came to our team with a vision for the front room of their old Victorian mansion. After some piping, ventilation, and electrical renovations in the main entrance living room at the front of the mansion, they decided to renovate the interior design of that space as well, as it was a focal point in their house since they had a home-office and had daily visitors and the small front room functioned as a waiting room as well.

They wanted a welcoming and comfortable place yet formal and luxurious in harmony with the Neo-Classical spirit of their grand mansion.

Our architectural visualization team decided to give a bold contrast to this room from other spaces of the house: the dark and colorful decors will be eliminated, warm, dark, and reddish colors of furniture and wooden frames, stairs, and floors will be replaced by white simpler style.

The Classic luxury feel of the house remains strongly with the layout and the details. White walls and simplified yet elaborate bed molding of the ceiling with delicate and ample floral details inside classical decorative framings will give the elegance and luxury expression to the front room, and spotlights within the wide bed molding of the ceiling, demonstrate the modern aspect of the space in return.

The heart of the space is a modern exhibition of art: a frame of rough zigzag dark stone pattern in the middle of the center wall. Circular star-shaped monolithic stone slabs on the rough stone are the center of the attention, with hidden lights behind them, making the illusion of the stars suspending in the air.

The dark stone is repeated on the floor, but smooth and reflective. A marble coffee table in contrast with its dark metal legs and dark flooring of the room becomes a prominent element of the room working appropriately with the vintage white sofa and two armchairs. Last but not least, a touch of modern is done with green and brown accessories, plus vases of green flowers.
