In every project, there is at least one special point that holds a particular place in its designers’ hearts. The design of sitting- library- the working area of a modern mansion design project is one of these special spots that our design team is proud of.

Instead of a regular horizontal connection between working area, library and sitting room, based on our discussions with the client and formal and functional considerations, an integrated space for these three functions were created throughout the design process.

This dynamic example of a traditionally serious and solid rooms shows that there is nothing impossible in architectural design; and you, as the client, just need to first, share your overall intuition of qualities you feel favorable, aesthetically and functionally, and second, reach out to an architectural team you can trust along the way of designing and constructing.

An important factor in choosing your designer is browsing their designs to have a better insight into their strengths, weakness, and style of working and after that scheduling a telephone, online, or in-person meeting with them helps you in deciding more consciously, based on which of the designers you could get along with better, find more professional in communicating and explaining specialized topics, and simply like more.

The vertical library is the element that interlocks the two-story space and integrates them as a whole. To emphasize on the wooden, checkered library and its stretch from the zig-zag, parquet flooring of the sitting room to the white ceiling of the second story, the designers decided to make the floor of the working area on the second story transparent, so that the lofty library would be visible from both stories, sitting room, and working room.

The library is halved by a structural column, which helps to accentuate its slender ratio. With the glass-flooring and big screen windows for both stories, the breathtaking garden greenness is brought into space, providing pleasant natural lighting for both sitting floor and working floor.

The color of the coach is selected to be in harmony with both the wooden floor and library and greenness of the outside view, and as it’s shown in the existing architectural renders, it works aesthetically as the visional connector of the warm, wooden interior and green exterior.

The front wall of the library is designed with a black matte color finishing, accommodating a minimal fireplace, an aquarium, and some shelves. The contrast between dark and light liven up space.

The working place consists of a wooden desk and chair, a pair of modern armchairs, and a coffee table. To enhance the connection between two stories, in addition to the glass flooring, a void is placed, and the vertical access is given to the upper floor from it. The square pattern created by the metal frames under the transparent floor fills the minimal and modern atmosphere uniquely.
